In response to an increased demand for intensive treatment programs to address common challenges facing adolescents, Julie Summers and her team at Heritage have designed a unique treatment program. This comprehensive program includes individual sessions, innovative group processes, and powerful experiential activities.

Evidence based interventions are incorporated with creative activities designed to educate and empower adolescents for practical application.

Group therapy has been proven to help teens increase self awareness, develop identity and connectedness with others, learn to establish meaningful relationship and interpersonal skills, increase self-acceptance, and learn to express emotions in a healthy manner. As teens progress through structured activities and group interaction they will have the opportunity to identify obstacles, encounter successes, develop improved self-esteem, and develop a sense of accountability and responsibility for their lives.

Over a four-week period each teen and their family will acquire strategies to address:

  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Low Self-Esteem
  • Family Conflict
  • Emotional Regulation
  • Trauma
  • Boundaries
