Paige Cryer

Paige’s general approach to counseling is eclectic and person–centered. She enjoys working with a diverse group of clients and seeks to meet clients where they are. Paige believes that our past experiences shape the way we respond and react to present challenges. Her therapeutic interests include trauma, ADHD, anxiety, depression, emotion regulation, family of origin issues, life transitions, and postpartum and maternal mental health. In addition to talk therapy, Paige incorporates her training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and play therapy into her practice. Paige particularly enjoys working with children under the age of six, adolescents over the age of sixteen, college students, parents, and young adults. She believes that every person is valuable and deserving of respect, care, and empathy.

Since the relationship between counselor and client is an integral part of the therapeutic process, Paige strives to promote a warm, empathetic, and trusting environment. Her objective is to treat the whole person: mind, body, and spirit. She desires to tap into clients’ personal strengths to overcome struggles. Paige feels honored that clients allow her to step into their stories and walk with them through hard times.

Paige graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science degree. After graduating, she worked for a non–profit serving as an after school enrichment program director for elementary, middle, and high school aged adolescents. After several years in the non–profit sector, she began to pursue a degree in counseling. Paige holds a Masters in Biblical Counseling from Dallas Theological Seminary’s Houston campus. Her experiences both in and out of the counseling office lead her to be a strong and compassionate therapist for a wide variety of clients. She considers counseling to be her life calling and is humbled by the path that brought her to this field.
